Migration

I've just applied for UC as I had to migrate from ESA by 30th Aug

All went very easily but I have a horrible feeling I may have gone down the wrong route and I'm stressed now.

Instead of reading the letter and going to https://www.gov.uk/dwp/move-to-uc I just googled UC Claim and went to https://www.universal-credit.service.gov.uk/start

Have I done it wrong?

Actually I think it's ok. Identity confirmed and My to do list is now empty and says

Your statement will be ready on 16 September 2025

It was the beta version and not like the example I had seen months ago. It did ask are you getting any other benefits (I get esa and pip) but was just a yes or no, no details asked?

Dare I say it but it all seemed a bit too easy (only took about 20 mins to do) hope I haven't done it wrong.

I said I was claiming other benefits, so why does it say I'm not?

Don't know if I've made a mess of this but I live with my mum (shes not on any benefits at all) and when it asked does anyone live with you I put no, cos I live with her not her live with me if you know what I mean.

Should I have put yes and do I now need to add a note to the journal and which category do I choose?

Edit - I've added that she lives with me (shes a pensioner) so doubt it will make any difference to my claim anyway as not claiming any housing costs or council tax reduction.

The form doesn't ask for details of other benefits, it's a yes or no question.

For the following question it means any income other than earnings that you haven't already told them about.

In your circumstances you answered correctly about who you live with.

UC are only concerned with partners, dependants and non dependants. Your Mum is neither of those.

    Thanks @kimi87

I had a text and email this morning telling me to check my journal for a notification relating to my claim, but there's nothing new there?

Did you check the To Do list & Journal entries page?

Yes nothing on the to do list and the journal page, the last log was at 5.23am. I received the email and text at 8.01am. I have already accepted my commitments even though it still says I need to.
