Problems posting and editing

I'm experiencing difficulty in editing and posting on a recent thread on both Windows and Android OS. This is the thread:

https://forum.scope.org.uk/discussion/137765/feeling-overwhelmed-by-adhd-and-autism-diagnosis#latest

The last time I tried, it said something like, "Your message will be posted when it is approved." Can a Mod explain this, please?

Hey @Zipz yes your comments were trapped by our overly zealous spam filter, my apologies! We've had to increase the sensitivity due to the new online safety act, but unfortunately it can be a bit too sensitive.

I've let all the trapped posts out now, so they should be on the community. I'll tidy up and delete any duplicates. 😊

I think there might be quite a number of duplicates, @Albus_Scope I tried so hard! Zipz

Sorry about our spam filter @Zipz 😬 we'll try to remove any duplicates but if you see any that have snook through, let us know. Sorry again. I can imagine it being very frustrating!

Haha, no problem @Zipz all is well now. It's worth noting for everyone, in the future if a comment or discussion doesn't show on the community straight away, it may have been nabbed by that pesky spam filter, so the best thing to do is just wait for one of us to release the it.

This will usually only happen during office hours of course, so apologies if something gets nabbed at 18:10 😅

I still can't use abreviations here unless I use full stops in-between the letters and I am forced to keep 'accepting' cookies each time I sign in.

If we post a comment, let's say in the evening, and we've to wait till you've read it the following day for the comment to be posted, in the name of moderation, then, the forum becomes a forum for posting and not one for discussion and interaction.

If you've decided not to post comments until you've read them and the fact that you don't have an army to read every comment before it's posts 24/7, then the forum would tremendously lose its essence, and I, for one, would in this case limit my posts, if not abandon the forum altogether.

If you're copying Benefits & Work, then you should realise that its poor interaction and posts are mainly due to this very fact.

Moderation doesn't necessarily mean reading comments before they're posts, I'm afraid.

If moderation means waiting until morning for a post to appear, then good. That’s what safeguarding looks like when it’s done properly.

@luvpink did you check what I'd mentioned previously about your browser being used in incognito mode or similar? Are you have any issues with other sites you log in to?

I'm unable to access beyond Page 2 this evening for some reason.

Is anyone else having this problem??

@Albus_Scope I think one of my posts needs approval as well.

Are you sure you were not trying to bring up back stuff on Ian Duncan Smith?

    Ha! No.

You do know that Iain Duncan Smith is still in his seat, rubbing his hands together in delight at our pain, don't you?

Scope, I still can't access Page 3 or anything beyond that.. Thanks.

Hey @WhatThe thanks for the heads up there, I can't either, unless I manually change the number in the page address in the address bar. But oddly once you get onto page 3, you can use the arrows again. We've flagged it with the powers that be though.

@worried33 that should all be sorted. Please be aware staff hours are 10am to 6pm, so no one will be able to reply or moderate anything stuck in the spam queue. But it's one of the first things we do in the morning when we get in. 😊

Albus, lucky you, it wouldn't even allow me that option!

(I found androgynous' thread through a search once I remembered the title)

When I click next page from page 1 it goes to page 31.

THat's very odd indeed @onmylonesome does it happen every time you click on the next page arrow? I've not been able to replicate that specific error.

@WhatThe it should allow you to change pages once you're on page 2, just change the 2 to any other page, then you should be able to use the arrows again. It's only going back from page 2 which seems to be the issue from what we've been able to replicate on multiple test accounts. If you're still having issues, let us know and we'll add it to the list. 😊

Yes it does, also happens when I click the next page button.
