My son has cerebral palsy with a left hemiplegia . He is now 20 years old . He is starting a supported internship at his local college . His love in life is cricket playing ,watching and coaching .As his mother often joke that I'm his personal assistant but joking aside I do help with things such as PIP and universal credit to name a few .they are becoming harder and harder to fill out .

He is having botox to his wrist for the first time and not sure what expect .he has had previously had surgery on his left semi foot leg successfully .

Hey there @carolynwillis and welcome to the community. 😊

I hope the form filling isn't becoming too much? We're all here for support if you need us. Regarding the botox, I believe another of our members has just had their injection and seemed positive about things. We have a great CP network who I hope will be able to give you some more input on this. 😊

@carolynwillis Welcome to the community. It's lovely to hear about you and your son.

I'm Sara one of the CP specialists in the CP Network. Here is a link to our website with information on Botox treatment. https://www.scope.org.uk/advice-and-support/botox

The CP Network host monthly online meetings on the second Wednesday of each month. You and your son are welcome to be be part of the group. It's a space to meet likeminded individuals, access resources and information and speak to people with lived experience of cerebral palsy. I've included the link here. https://www.scope.org.uk/cerebral-palsy-network

    Kind Regards.
