Hi StarryEyed, a mall is a good choice, the mirrors could be for the clothing section.

It could sell liminal food and liminal clothing, I'm not sure what either would be like. ๐Ÿ˜Š

    Hi @Ross1975 ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ˜Š

How about your liminal space McDonald's food court at the far end by the curtains? And for some peculiar reason I'm thinking there's a very long aisle just past the mirrors on the right, and it would be a perfect place for a bowling alley! What do you think?

StarryEyed, hmmm, let's see what Ai thinks about that. ๐Ÿ˜Š

    Hey @Ross1975 They're all perfect!!! Delightful. ๐Ÿ˜

We can have these washrooms beside the food court. What do you think?

The washrooms would definitely suit the place.

I managed to turn the pic into a few interesting short videos with Qwen3.7-Plus. The black liquid one is my favourite.

I watched the film last week (Backrooms). It was good. Has anyone seen it?

66Mustang, I've not seen it yet, I'm waiting for it to be released on Blu Ray or DVD.

@66Mustang I wasn't going to see it because I think it's too scary for me, but when it comes out on streaming I'll try it, then stop if it's too scary. On a TV and in my home where it's familiar and I can take breaks, it won't be as scary as the theatre. It's getting great reviews, a 7.0 on IMDB. Do you watch a lot of horror movies? Was it super scary, in the sense of psychological horror (that's what is hard for me)?

Oh my goodness, Ross. Those videos are all horribly unsettling in a fun way. I say we have the bathroom on rotation between the three! Yikes ๐Ÿ˜ณ

How about in the food court between McDonald's and the right wall we squeeze in this little bar....? ๐Ÿ˜Š

@StarryEyed I think it's one of those horror movies where the suspense is scarier than the revealing. It lets your mind imagine the worst, while you're waiting and waiting for something terrible to appear. I think the unseen is often scarier (Jaws being a good example) as the uncertainty leads us to fill in the gaps with our imagination.

It's hard to say how scary it is psychologically as we're all so different. It's definitely psychological horror but in lots of ways I found it affirming; it touched on issues like trauma, blame and externalising/internalising ones problems

You've set me off now lol. I've never heard of Liminal Spaces before. Now I'm intrigued and at some point I aim to explore the subject in depth lol.

Great to have more people on board the liminal space train, Johnboy412000 and 66Mustang. ๐Ÿ˜Š

The bar is a great edition StarryEyed, since it's liminal I'm guessing it'd be self serve. The drinks would probably be strange and interesting. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Just catching up with everything! I love how you're creating a whole entertainment complex @StarryEyed and @Ross1975.

My son has seen Backrooms @66Mustang and so has @Mary_Scope but I haven't had chance. I might need to wait until it's out on streaming. I have been playing a Backrooms xbox game though which made me scream quite a bit ๐Ÿ˜‚ It sounds like it's similar to the film as it lets you imagine what's going to pop out so you're constantly on edge.

Welcome @Johnboy412000 to the liminal side of the community! We hope you enjoy your stay ๐Ÿ˜‰

Here's Stirling Castle during the recent heatwave. It's not classically liminal in my opinion, but the clear blue sky makes you wonder what's on the other side. What do you think?

Rachel_Scope first thing that popped into my head as to what was on the other side of the wall was sheep, then tree stumps. It's a very clean looking image, you've got the pure blue sky, then you've got a very clean looking dark grey wall cutting though it, and then there's the nice green fresh looking grass.

I find Pinterest to be a great place for liminal space images, there's tons that come up on a page, you click on one of the images, and then that brings up another page with tons more, it's like it's never ending/liminal itself. It's where I've been finding my favourite images these days: โ—Ÿliminal spaceโ—

I imagined nothingness, or maybe green hills like we've seen in other liminal pictures. Thanks for the link, it looks great!! Lots of pictures for me to feel uneasy about.

You wanna try going in a Museum in Scarborough I can't remember it's name now or if it is still there on the sea front but my then GF and myself went in it and oh my god we both jumped out of our skin as something jumped out of the dark at us. This was way back in 1997. I'll find out when I go on 20th July.

That sounds brilliant @Johnboy412000! Definitely let me know, I'm not a million miles away from Scarborough. Hope you have a lovely time, without being scared ๐Ÿ˜…

I will thanks. Not sure if I'll get in there or not. My Hotel is up near the Castle. Lovely views judging by the photos on the website. Sealife Centre is one I wanna visit and Peasholm Park. Only there for 2 nights so cram lots in lol.

@66Mustang your review is interesting. Leaving things to the imagination can be quite unpleasant in this head of mine, which is why liminal art is sometimes disturbing to me. But I'm getting less disturbed by it over time. But to be sure, you've made my mind up to not see it in the theatre. Thanks for your review!

Welcome @Johnboy412000 and I look forward to hanging out with you here

Yes, @Ross1975, the bar is self-serve, so there is a beer tap at each seat. I've put together a menu, which I'll post now in another post, to prevent messing up and losing this post.

StarryEyed, I would totally drink the drinks, eat the cookies, the cake and the banana sundae. While the rest look nice I wouldn't want to eat them.

I wonder what the liminal pills do? ๐Ÿ˜Ž
