Hi, my name is mumsy121!UC migration pay issues.
Hi i was wondering if someone could help me as this is stressing me out or enyone had a similar situation.
I migrated to universal cresit end of july 2024 amd I had my 1st payemt in aughust 31 covering the perioud 24 July 2024 to 23 aughust I had a transition payemnt of 535 so i was not worser off in june 25 2024 I applied to dla which went through madotory reconsideration and I won the appeal in july 2025 I was backdated. So my situation is if I report this to unniversla credit will they have to backdate my child disabikitu elemmt al the way to first payemnt and will this eat my transition payment so I won't get nothing but willl cancel out my argument is I would have got more in legacy benefit but a decicion was not made please if someone could reply as I am getting mixed messages

It is correct that any increase in UC entitlement reduces the Transitional Protection by a corresponding amount. They would backdate the increase yes.
Have you spoken with a trained benefits advisor?

I have rang universal cresit up few times most some are saying your transition payemnt should not be affected as it was before u migrated so it will be classed as you were getting it others say it will eat most of my transitional payment. But my argument is this changed happened before I migrated and this should be adjusted to what I was getting so I would not be worser off.
