I haven't had caffeine in about 2 months now as I switched to decaf.

I haven't really noticed a difference between that and decaf as I never really felt the " energy boost" from coffee in the first place that I hear people talk about in the first place😄 I just like the taste!

Costa is my favourite high street coffee chain @rubin16, what do you normally get? I find their coffees tend to have a lot more flavour than other high street coffee chains i've tried.

I have a friend who loves Greggs coffee @Johnboy412000, they say it's really good value for money compared to a lot of other places.

Here's my summer coffee. It's a great way to get caffeine if your stomach is sensitive to regular coffee beans (I find instant coffee less upsetting to my GI tract). You can also use decaf coffee. And of course cold coffee is great during the heat!

This guy has a ton of divine coffee recipes on his channel.

I've never felt a boost either with coffee and only really ever drank it for the taste.

My fav costa coffee is a Hazelnut Latte. however I can't justify paying like £6 for a coffee so not had one in quite a while. Especially when the costs of things is a stretch.

Absolutely love an iced coffee @StarryEyed and that looks so delicious! Thank you for sharing that, i'll definitely be trying it. Have you made one of his recipes before?

I agree with you @rubin16, it is getting very expensive. It's a rare treat now!

Yeah I found that out a long time ago when I visited the Costa Coffee shop in the hospital and for 2 Coffees and 2 Muffins was just over £9. Never went in there again lol.

I wouldn't willingly give those corporate tax dodgers a penny piece. I can't remember when I last did, nor the golden arches mob. 😇

You can't beat a nice coffee… but I agree, the cost is outstanding! This has got me thinking about maybe purchasing a syrup for home for a fancy drink now and again.

If i was going anywhere, i would pack sandwiches and take a flask of coffee. I wonder how some folk have a penny in their pocket these days, what with all the take away food and beverages they buy.

I had a young joiner in here for a week, he turned up each morning with a McDonald's breakfast. He looked clueless when I asked him why he didn't bring a piece bag, nor why he didn't have any breakfast at home.

At least I'll never be as bad as my mum is, she tells folk to put their phones down and talk to one another! 🤣

How the other half live, eh? 😂 Bless him, I'm sure I was the same when younger and less money worries.

Haha your mum sounds brilliant. She's just saying what we're all thinking. I find myself having these thoughts too, don't know about you but pretty sure I'd be a menace to society if I didn't have a filter. 🤣🤣

    I love coffee.

I have a moka pot but I mostly use a little French press and my favourite coffee is lavaza pro.

My mum is old enough to get away with saying things like that. She is only one step away from how I remember her dad in his last years; stepping out in front of traffic, whitering on about having paid his taxes. He even started just marching to the front of queues, as all he had was one grapefruit and a tin of soup etc.

I have both a 1 cup and a 3 cup moka pot. The 1 cup gets less use. 😇

cass21, when you're thirsty and you'd like something that's sweet but not unhealthy try a watermelon. During the heatwave I kept eating ice lollies and ice pops, I'd crave them all the time but I've now ended up putting on weight, so I've swapped them for watermelon which I keep in the fridge, and I like it just as much if not more than the ice lollies and ice pops.

I've also started using honey on my cereal instead of sugar, maybe I should use it in my tea and coffee too. Honey still isn't that healthy but I think it's at least a bit healthier than sugar.
