Pip video tribunal

I had a text message from DWP stating that they had written to me regarding my award and to expect the letter in the next 2 weeks, as I have already heard a call last Wednesday asking if I was ok with a lump sum and checking bank details I assume that my back payment has been processed and simply waiting for the bacs payment to appear, is this a reasonable assumption?

Sadly not. Sometimes they ask this where no award is given/changed and no backpay is due. It is just a standard call read from a script.

I won at tribunal, the message says my successful pip award, obviously you are confused but thank you for trying

I'm not confused. That call is made to people who both do and don't get backpay. It cannot be used to confirm that a back-payment has been processed.

well I think it’s a little bit cruel having won my tribunal and for DWP to call me checking my bank details and asking if I can manage a lump sum saying that the payment would be in my account in 7 to 10 days and then text saying my successful pip award letter is on its way!!!

Its standard practice, nothing cruel about it.
