Hi Everyone,

I know this discussion was here so many times and even should be the same if you live in Scotland but two different governments oh well better just stay on a track what I would like to ask you all.

It will specify the backdated period, which typically starts three full assessment periods after your first fit note was submitted.

My was submitted my fit note was was accepted even my GP asked me why I need one as I am medically retired. I have singed for UC in the April and i was awarded my from the start of my claim 14th of April 2025 - LCWRA my next payment showed on the 20th of August but I thought I would get 3 month back payment as I was waiting 3 months until I have got a reply on my Journal.

I was asking if I get any backdate payment but reply was -

LWRCA was backdated to to April, however due to the relevant period there is no back payment due. You must wait 3 months before you start receiving a LWRCA payment.
payment can be backdated for 3 months after you submitted fit note what I did .

I know there is always 3 months waiting time can be even longer but what about April/may , May/June Jun/July

These times when I when for my appointments and waiting time are not backdated at all. Maybe I am getting all worked up about this.

Lcwra has a waiting period (known in DWP speak as the relevant period) of three full assessment periods before LCWRA is added to your monthly payment.

No money is paid or subsequently owed for that period.

    Thank you very much.
I’ve got it now just was not sure and I am very happy for your explanation and answer.
