Flu Vaccination Reminder This Winter💉😷

I had the club jab this year but not the COVID booster because I was poorly the first time I had COVID-19 and only had it 3 times and I will never again have it.

Most people go throughout their life never getting flu. What most people call flu, is actually a cold, albeit a bad cold in many cases, but simply a cold.
With flu you will have a very high temperature and won't even be able to use a phone let alone go about your day. You'll be laid up in bed for many days. It's not until you have flu, that you realise how bad it really is and that it's not what most people believe is flu.
The vaccine isn't isn't live, so you can't catch flu from it.
I hope that moving forward your health will improve. X0 -
I had flu when I was 16. It was truly awful. Thankfully at 53 I've never had it again. I got Covid before the vaccines, in fact before we had heard of it, and although I was extremely ill, at least I made it out of bed.
I started having the flu jab after that, then stopped as I was fit and healthy, but have had it the last few years since I am no longer young, fit, nor healthy. Whether it's needed I'm not sure, but I don't have any issues or reactions to it so might as well.
I had mine a couple of weeks ago and didn't even get a sore arm this time.0 -
"Most people go throughout their life never getting flu."
it is not true at all that most people go throughout their life without ever getting flu. Influenza is one of the most common infectious diseases, and most people are infected multiple times over their lifetime.Â
"With flu you will have a very high temperature."
It's not true at all that everybody with the flu gets a high temperature (fever). While fever is a common symptom, especially with a sudden onset, some people, particularly the elderly or those with certain chronic illnesses, may have influenza without a fever and instead experience other symptoms like cough, fatigue, and aches.Â
"You'll be laid up in bed for many days."
It's not true at all that everyone with flu needs to stay in bed for many days. Flu symptoms and recovery times vary widely depending on the individual's overall health, age, and vaccination status.Â
I can go on and on debunking your myth one by one!
By the way, getting a flu jab doesn't mean you cannot catch flu.
I think your falsehood would be easily believed at a primary school and not on a forum where the youngest person might be in their late forties and has caught flu so many times that they care to remember!
