Universal credit - LCWRA and UC assessment period
Hi,
My last esa payment was short upon moving to UC ,I did the transfer on the day of my last esa payment 4th Nov. I was in support group and I understand that should now be LCWRA, I looked at my journal earlier and noticed it said "Standard payment," and we might ask you to do an assessment. I wont get my first payment until 10th December, I know my statement is due on 6th.
But is it because I'm still in the uc assessment period my lcwra hasn't been included yet ,I know it takes a while for esa to forward past info. I usually get paper based assessments but am not aware if they exist on UC. I also know you can be reassessed at any time but I only done mine start of last yr and usually get three years .
Any Help explaining the LCWRA part esp helpful. Thanks.

It takes time for ESA to confirm your previous award with UC. This is usually done in time for the first payment statement, but not always.
Up until your ESA is confirmed all the system knows about you is that you've claimed UC and reported a health condition. The system language is geared towards considering every claim a brand new one as opposed to a potential migration.
Once your ESA status is confirmed LCWRA element will appear on your payment statement.
At this point there really is nothing to worry about.
Standard forum advice is to claim UC the day after an ESA payment so that a full 14 days is owed (ESA is paid 2 weeks in arrears). It sounds like you had less than 14 days owing when you claimed so your final payment wouldn't have been for the full amount.

Just put you are in the support group and when you had your assessment. That's what I did. And although I'm still waiting for my first uc payment , next month. They acknowledge I'm in the support group. Esa are different to uc, so you could phone them and ask
