Well I was going to have a moan about the snow, but after seeing this I'm happy with the amount of snow we have now ๐

You're even older than me? ๐ That was my first winter on planet Earth and photos show me wrapped up outdoors and grinning ๐
We moved abroad and returned to England in 1970 to deep snow. That was so exciting and I've loved it ever since! โ๏ธโ๏ธ โ๏ธ

It's too weird to say I remember that winter but I've always felt I really do, despite being born in the March '63 .... ๐๐คญ๐. Have often wondered though if that's why I've always 'felt the cold'; my lovely mum lived in a VERY cold house at the time she was carrying me bless her.

Climate change!

I'm not getting into the hype of climate change, most weather is a natural occurrence most of the time to be honest. But back to the snow and ice of 62/63, no one in that time were allowed to miss school. Now if there's two or three flakes, they shut them and everything grinds to a halt๐

Different times back then as us oldies keep being told life is much harder now so we are lead to believe

๐๐Nice one.
Going back to the weather, I can't remember all the fuss about it back in the 60s/70s or 80s for that matter. If it got hot, it got hot, if if it got cold it got cold, end of๐ But nearly 99% of the country carried on as usual.
It seems today that they're just that little bit softer, maybe it's the central heating that's change people.
