just got this now anxiety is through the roof
This is a message from Health Assessment Advisory Service. We conduct Personal Independence Payment (PIP) assessments for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). This is for information only, to let you know that we are managing your PIP assessment. We will look at the available evidence and will contact you with an appointment if we need to arrange an assessment with you. You can find information about the service we provide at https://www.haas.capita.co.uk. You do not need to contact us.0 -
Does that not just mean the private company are conducting a paper based review, and will only need to call you in if they need extra information?

I’m not sure I’m so stressed at the moment

that's a pretty standard message and doesn't mean anything just that they have the paperwork and are deciding if you need an assessment or not xx

That's a standard message @Poppy030401, please try not to worry. Have you got some support for your anxiety at home?
0 -
yeah I’m ok I’d rather not speak to anybody about it, as I just sound like am moaning … thank you for reaching out, can I just ask does it look like paper based?

As advised it's a standard message, the assessment agency now has your claim and are deciding what type of assessment you will have.
1 -
It looks like they'll review the evidence they've got and will book an assessment if they need more information. Hopefully they'll have everything they need already.
I'd recommend reaching out to someone to talk about your anxiety, it's not moaning at all. You can speak to Mind if you're not comfortable sharing with your friends and family.

thank you for your reply, just wish I had took the call in November but I physically can’t do that with my anxiety they know about this it’s on my form.

I understand the anxiety, I've been through it too. You can't change the past and it's not a problem anyway as it hasn't negatively affected anything. Try not to worry. What can you do to relax?

I’m sorry you went through this too, hope you had a positive result, thank you for replying to me and not making me feel stupid
1 -
It's not stupid to feel this way at all. There are so many people who get really anxious about PIP, it's not an easy process to go through. We're always here for a chat whenever you need us.

They will send you a text message once your assessment is complete if they have enough information to make a decision.
Times for this seem to vary.
