Can someone recommend a microphone the for Dragon
Hello
I have been working in IT for over 30 years and have used Dragon speech recognition for the same amount of time.
I have cerebral palsy and a slight speech defect. For the past six years I have been using a Bluetooth microphone (Voyager 5200 UC). Unfortunately, these microphones only appear to last two years before the sound quality deteriorates so it's no longer viable for speech recognition. Worse still, this particular model has been discontinued.
Could anyone advise, or point me to somewhere where I could find advice on the best microphone, with regard to the following criteria:-
I have cerebral palsy with a slight speech defect
the microphone should have a good level of noise cancelling (preferably better than the Voyager)
the battery should last at least eight hours
good build quality that can stand up to my handling
Thanks

Hi @wheels496
I'm just going to tag our wonderful CP network @Richard_Scope, @SaraC_Scope @Lucy_Scope as they may have suggestions or some good specific signposting😊 Hopefully you'll be able to find a better microphone soon!0 -
Hi @wheels496
I asked Techjockey, and it came up with the 17 best alternatives and competitors to the Voyager 5200 UC.
17 Best Plantronics Voyager 5200 UC Alternatives & Competitors in 2026
Now I haven't used any of these, so I'm not making any recommendations, but it might give you a steer as to what's out there.
