Hi everyone. i dont live in the uk but born there & lived & worked there from 1970 till 1976, over the last 3 years i have been going through the process of buying back some pension years, 3 years ago i started trying to claim the years back, at that time i was 66, i only just got paid last week, so its took a long 3 years, at the start i was informed by a agent who was helping me that my pension would be backdated to my retirement age, i assume that was 66, when i filled out the final form with DWP i was then told i would only receive my pension backdated to the day i paid for the years, i thought that was a bit harsh, its not my fault the have been overwhelmed by claims & thats their excuse for taking so long, i would be greatfull on any advice or thoughts. Kind regards
