edited March 28 in Universal Credit (UC)

Hi

Last August I was migrated to UC from Esa and was advised that for 12 months I'll receive part esa part Uc, 2 weeks ago I received a letter telling me that from 6th April my esa will stop due to my Uc claim, my esa payments were 560pm (280 fortnightly) and Uc 450pm (225 fortnightly), but ive just looked at my Uc account and for april the payments are the say as they were at 225 fortnightly? Now I'm no Einstein but to me ill now be 580pm down? I've had esa for close to a decade, in the support group and with the sdp element, do I need to report this on my journal or once my esa has stopped with the figures change due to the transitional protection?

ESA doesn't stop after 12 months unless you are in the Work Related Activity Group.

Upon migration to UC, IR ESA ends and is replaced by Universal Credit, CB ESA ends and is replaced by New Style ESA.

I wonder if the letter you received was the annual uprating ESA letter for your New Style ESA? 6th April is the date that the new rate starts.

That letter has a line that says "You are not getting any more Income Related ESA. We cannot pay you because you have a claim to Universal Credit"

Page 3 of that letter shows your New Style ESA award - ignore the November end date that's a quirk due to the Christmas Bonus paid in December.
