I think that its really bad my sons just been moved to high disabled premium like £250 a month extra

backdated to last march when awarded.

i feel they purposely made me move before awarded my sons pip which started in sept to be moved from Dla to pip moved to Uc October yet others are still claiming Esa its not right

effectively its not fair to make someone worse off at different time's they should make everyone whos on server disabled premium on esa change over at the same time

but to take away children's extra care money is not exceptable increasing the benefits ok and rent increases but to take money to pay for the career that my son needs and take it away isn't good.

my career is now facing eviction because I owe her money as thought she would be paid wjen hot the backdated child disabled premium

A city also is now counting PIP as income which wipes out any increase to that, it made the news in some social news outlets, many welfare advice agencies remain confused by it and keep telling people in the city, they confused, its not happening etc. because its legal.

Yet the council are doing it, there is some PIP claimants in the city now paying 100% council tax, and most are paying either 60 or 80%, when they used to pay 20-40%.

It was revealed this change was done with local Labour MPs being involved in the decision. Liz Kendall is the only local Labour MP.

I haven’t heard of PIP being counted as income as yet. It wouldn’t surprise me though!!! 🤬

They are probably referring to Council Tax Reduction, this is decided on at a local level and each local authority has different rules for this.

Some have in the last couple years started counting PIP as income when calculating CTR awards.

The perils of making these decisions done at the local level, not only is it inconsistent and a post code lottery, it also avoids national scrutiny, so little people know about whats going on as a result.

Someone started a gov petition to bring back nationalised council tax support, and it was closed down with the claim that a decision to make it national again is a local policy, how is it a local decision whether it reverts to national rules or not.
