Hi, my name is Coraltam1! Change carers to severe disability allowance?

I wanted to know , if I could change my carers allowance , to the sever allowance , as my person receiving carers allowance , cleans twice a week for me but rarely turns up , plus numerous people I know , claim for family members , bur don’t actually do anything , I would prefer to claim an allowance , I could pay fairly to people that genuinely help me , thank you .

Do you mean the Severe Disability Premium? If you have are now claiming Universal Credit you cannot claim the Severe Disability Premium. You could only receive this if you were on on legacy benefits which UC has now replaced.

When you say you receive disability, what benefit do you mean exactly?
