At points in the second half they were quite relentless and they finally started to look like Japan which was great to see :)

This Panama game is exciting. Panama are playing really fast. Both teams playing with energy. Panama full of running and eagerness. This has been such a great opening week to a World Cup :)

I know mate, I was mocking the obvious selling out of our game for the benefit of US tv channels, such as the 'rehydration break' at coincidentally 22.5 and 67.5 minutes - thus dividing matches into quarters.

An interesting night of results. Best second half I've seen from England in a very long time.
So, everyone's played a game now. Does anyone have any thoughts yet on the eventual winner, or a surprise qualifier from the group stage?

I was asleep before the game started last night but watched the England vs Croatia highlights. That header was brilliant! They had some great goals and attempts from what I saw. Here's to hoping for much more of this to come 😊

You'll be glad to know there was a lot of booing during the 'hydration breaks', particularly from the England fans
They were quite sneaky with the second one and realised what would happen and blasted some song, I can't recall the name, but one of those catchy ones everyone knows and sings along to, particularly when drunk, so the boos became singing and seemed like everyone was really enjoying it.
It was good for the atmosphere but also, wouldn't have been needed if they didn't insist on the hydration breaks!

Excellent second half from England, which I've only just watched as the 1st half was so tense that we went to bed half way through! 😊 it was great watching the rest of it just now though, really encouraging.

I liked that the half time remarks by the England coaching guy were so succinct and bluntly accurate - it made me trust that the coaches know what they are doing and don't sugar-coat any criticism. Good stuff!

Colombia game was really fun and I really liked the third goal. Neither of the player’s complained about a foul, they just kept battling for the ball and then one of them put an awesome cross in and they scored a goal from it that was great to see :)

I don’t know who can win this. So many great games so far with lots of attacking and exciting forwards play. For a surprise qualifier maybe Iran or New Zealand as Belgium didn’t look particularly useful the other night. Holland also looked very disappointing against an energetic Japan but I think Holland will still get through their group but if they lose to Sweden then maybe Holland will miss out

yes - my grandparents were Hispanic, one from Mexico so I'm supporting all Hispanic nations.
Not keen on England teams as they have made politics issues too common place now, as I believe entertainment & politics should never be mixed.

Oh I've picked Ecuador & Columbia to win way back in October 2025 so not changing my mindset.
Mexico's been the most full blooded…!!!

How did you feel about Ecuador's result the other night against Ivory Coast? Do you think it'll make any difference to their chances of getting to the final, @martinezXgonzales?

Thank you @Bluebell21, that's ever so helpful.
@Adrian_Scope, do you think I'd be able to share the number? I don't mind if it's a no because the countries are already drawn, I'll cheer them on either way.
