Do you use a wheelchair and have periods?


Researchers at the University of Nottingham are looking to speak to adults about their experiences of exercising while on their period.

Recruitment poster from the University of Nottingham seeking UK-based wheelchair users aged 18 and over who have had a period in the last 12 months and exercise at least once a month. Participants are invited to complete a short questionnaire and a one-hour interview about experiences of exercising whilst on their period. A £10 voucher is offered as a thank you.

  • Aged 18+
  • Use a wheelchair for at least half of your walking day
  • Have had a period in the last 12 months
  • Do at least one exercise session each month
  • Comfortable talking about your experiences

Participants will:
Complete a short questionnaire
Take part in a 1-hour interview (online or in person)
Receive a £10 voucher as a thank you
This research aims to better understand the experiences of wheelchair users when exercising during their period.
