32 here half 8 at night..the new builds hold the heat in. Got fans and have window open with child lock, due to indoor cats. Have a catio but they can go out in the morning and late evening. Even around 6, 7pm its like a oven outside

I don't actually know what difference it makes, I know it does but sometimes the humidity is high and it feels colder and others it's high and feels warmer. I've not spent much time looking into it but it was awful here yesterday. It's hot again today but not as stiffling. Quite a pleasant breeze and I spent much of the afternoon in the garden. How about you?

I've read the science on the window thing but I still can't avoid the tempation to open my windows all day (and night). The tiny amount of breeze I get through makes it feel worthwhile 😅

Similar here @Andi66 but I've found today much nicer than yesterday! I hadn't considered what people with indoor cats do.

What point are you making? I was referring to the likes of Audi, their new A1, a Corsa sized car, I keep seeing 3.0 TFSI, where they were half that a few years ago. The Focus or Golf sized A3 a 3.5 TFSI, Passat or Mondeo sized A6 a 4.0 TFSI.
Not that many years ago, we we were aiming for a small, frugal petrol engined car, they even had an Octavia with a 1.0 supercharged petrol engine, but I wondered why we seem to be going backwards, is it simply a case of raging against the dying of the light? As for the SUV craze, it's utterly silly.

But what about the 3 and 4 litre cars, are even city cars like the Audi A1 requiring a 3.0 TFSI engine all of a sudden, that was my point.
A Volvo 240, that lugged large caravans up hill and down dale didn't even require such an engine! It must be a new and inexplicable fad, just like all those heavy, non aerodynamic, thirsty SUVs, that have smaller boots than an estate car; most of them aren't even 4wd for goodness sake.

17C and dull, with a chance of light rain. A couple of degrees warmer would be nice, but I prefer this to 30C like some are getting. 😎

I have just looked up this TFSI I was on about yesterday, and the '30, 35, 40' isn't 3.0, 3.5, 4.0 litre, its my mistake, I can't believe i was thinking all these smallish Audis were suddenly tearing about with oversized engines! 🙄

I haven't - I've noticed a few more hybrids.. There's a few legacy brands that are still holding on to petrol cars. Second hand cars outsold petrol in the EV market.. Many, and I mean really loads, of, new company lease cars are EV, and that's boosting the market.

Pollution from everyday activities, as well as electricity and fuel consumed for personal use, is infinitesimally small compared to industry. And all this is practically nothing compared to the climate changes that occurred many thousands of years ago.

Man made climate change can be observed from space, there is no debate now, any more than if you tried to argue in favour of tobacco smoking.
I will continue to live in the real world, others can howl at the moon or whatever they fancy.

That and hay fever but after having spent nearly two years being too ill to barely function and having to stay at home laying on my sofa, I'm trying to get out and enjoy my life.
I'm happy and positive.
I focus on good things and I live in a beautiful place.
I'm never actually going to be well health wise but at least I am stable for now.
