Am I being a big baby?

@Anhedonia2 Hey :) I was shocked to read they wouldn’t let you keep to a 9:30 start, I really think this should be okay and that it should be allowed as a reasonable adjustment to help you. It seems like there is a concerted effort going on to undermine you and this is so sad. I can appreciate how this can make someone feel having felt anxious and unwelcome myself and it’s not a great feeling to be going into every day. I really hope you’re okay and really good that you’re reaching out to people here on this community and receiving support and warmth. You deserve so much more than what you’re receiving from this workplace.
I hope you were able to eat something tonight? The appetite suffers I can understand :( I’m back up to two meals a day since my PIP review forms. I’ve been going to that secret garden I showed a photo of, still go and find it peaceful. And I still wear my sun hat too :) It’s my birthday this weekend and I don’t know what to do for it

Hope things go well with ACAS today @Anhedonia2. And hope you're doing ok.

@Anhedonia2 Hello, I hope you’re okay? :) I was thinking of you and wanted to ask how you are after what you shared recently

Thank you @yellowpineapple84 that's so kind of you. How are you? It's been really difficult if I'm honest, I've been applying for other jobs but they're having 100s of applicants for each role that nothing is materialising. It's quite demoralising when most don't even acknowledge or respond to reject. I understand they can't always but the rejection is getting to me a bit. I'm still trying though and have been documenting everything with my current work.
I can't say too much but it has gotten pretty bad!
How have things been for you?

@Anhedonia2 Hello :) It was really nice to receive an email seeing a message from you. I remember in the summer reading what you shared about your work and I’m sorry to read that things are still really hard there. You’ve done so well applying for other jobs, this is not easy and it’s certainly not easy putting effort in and not getting a reply. I agree this can feel demoralising. This is a really difficult time in the country to be looking for work. I’m sending warmth to you and hoping that you can get a reply soon and that an opportunity can be there for you so that you can be in a kinder workplace. You deserve to be treated much more kindly and with more appreciation for the work that you do and have done :)
I’m okay, I’ve been unwell recently and it’s also impacted my sleep so for some weeks in August leading into this month have been difficult. But starting to feel a little better, thank-you for asking :)I remember the fun we had in the World Cup chat! And I remember we talked about sun hats too! These conversations made me smile. I hope tonight you can rest well and I’m sending warmth for your week ahead 😊

You are 100% not being a big baby, that sounds genuinely awful to deal with. Coming back to work is hard enough as it is, but having your expectations spiked while everyone else stays the same feels like being singled out for no reason. If your track record has always been solid, trust your gut—you aren't suddenly doing a worse job. Try not to run yourself into the ground trying to hit targets that might actually be impossible; document everything you're doing, and take it one day at a time until you can figure out what's going on. Hang in there!

Just some advice, that may apply to everyone.
Document the hell out of it, as soon as you can.
Ways to do this, record voice notes on your phone. Send yourself an email to help you. Or really old school write things down to keep you mind in order.

I'm so sorry that you're still struggling @Anhedonia2. I completely understand how demoralising it is when applying for jobs and not hearing anything back. You will find something eventually, it will just take time.
I'm glad you're documenting everything. How did the chat with ACAS go?

Lovely to see you @yellowpineapple84. It's lovely that you've checked in with @Anhedonia2 😊 Sorry to hear you've been unwell recently but I'm glad you're starting to feel a little better.

You're so sweet, thank you. Do you know what's been wrong? I'm glad you're feeling better!
It's funny you should mention the sun hats, I had it out again this afternoon as it's been so warm and bright in the garden. I thought I was ready to pack everything summer related away but the weather is saying different!
Sending you bath some warmth and happiness 🤗

Thank you @louisowen01!
Thank you @CarNineSix, it's what I've been doing. I've made records of everything and ACAS have said the same thing too.
Thank you @Rachel_Scope, they were really helpful, they agree it sounds as though I am being managed out. They also suggested options regarding fighting it as some of what's being done may not be lawful but I don't have the strength for all of that. I certainly don't want to continue working here any more either.

@Anhedonia2 Hello 😊 I’m glad to read ACAS were helpful and I can appreciate that fighting some things take a level of energy that sometimes we don’t feel. Just really hope and want to encourage that what is happening at your workplace is a poor reflection on them rather than on you. Hope you’re okay today and hopeful you can go to a better work environment soon 🙏🏼
My doctor thinks I’ve had an upper respiratory infection and I had antibiotics for a week which improved me really well. When the antibiotics finished though I felt I was coughing again, an unusual amount. So now I’m on different antibiotics for the rest of this week and hopefully this finishes the bacteria. If it is bacteria. I’ve been told if antibiotics don’t work this time then they would look to x-ray my lungs which I’m frightened about, I worry about stuff like this 😣On a happier note it made me smile to read about your sun hat! Thanks for the warmth, sending for you too!

@Rachel_Scope Thanks 😊 I haven’t been very active on here recently sadly. Trying to login more again now and hopefully can help with PIP questions like I wanted to after my own review. Thanks for your message, hope I can feel fully better from this soon :)

I'm so sorry that you don't have the strength to fight it @Anhedonia2. I can understand it as it's already taking so much out of you. I wish it wasn't happening to you. Have you been able to do things outside of work to take care of yourself?

I had noticed that you hadn't been around much @yellowpineapple84 and I was going to get in touch with you but then saw your messages here 😊 I hope you do join us more often and fully recover soon.

@Rachel_Scope thank-you, I really appreciate the thought and I’d really have appreciated if you had reached out like that, that’s really kind thanks 😊
I hope so too, for both things. Hopefully this week finishes the antibiotics and hopefully login more from then and try and be helpful 😊

Remember you don't always have to be helpful @yellowpineapple84. We're here for you too, and you can just have fun! We're currently having a discussion about tea and toast if you'd like to join in 😊 Toast and Tea Talk
2 -
@Rachel_Scope thank-you 😊 And that actually sounds really good, I will join that as I find tea and heavily buttered toast comforting so will head over there now! 😊
