levodopa

My consultant has recently prescribed me levodopa to help control involuntary tremors and spasms. While it seems to be helping with this, I've noticed problems with voluntary movement where either I struggle to make my hand do what I want or my legs refuse to move at all (not that they work too well anyway!) I've only been on this treatment for 2 weeks and am supposed to try it for 2 months. I understand that there may be a trade off between symptoms and the side effects of the treatment but I'd like to hear of anyone's experiences with dopamine treatment
