I am a member of an interdisciplinary team of designers and engineers studying Innovation Design Engineering at the Royal College of Art and Imperial College London. We are interested in developing aids for people with motor control issues and would be greatly appreciative of your collaboration and help. We have done extensive research however we are in need of further first hand insight.
We have defined this focus ourselves and our aim is to address the high rate of depression/the quality of life for people with motor control issues, such as those with parkinsons. We are particularly interested in the non-essential day-to-day activities that people with motor control issues may find are impeded by their condition. Rather than focus on the bare necessities we wish to focus more on fun.
We believe that there is still an opportunity to enhance the experience and enjoyment of life. And any ideas or perhaps contacts with people who are have had experience with such disabilities would be greatly appreciated.
