Hello, I'm Shadow.
I work at one of scope's shops and have unseen disability myself.
One thing I think, and I have a couple of people backing me on this, is to change the word 'disabled' to 'disadvantaged' as when I say I have a disability people think I cannot do things, and when I can do things, they think I'm lying about being disabled. People don't see 'disability' and 'ability' as a comparable thing as if you have to be either 'disabled' or 'abled'. However, everyone has 'disadvantages' and 'advantages' which is seen as comparable and what is someones 'disadvantage' could be someone else's 'advantage' (vise versa) so people should be able to recognise these and all support each other. People should do this anyway with 'disability' and 'ability' but on personal experiences, and from what i've heard of others, people just don't see it. Anyway, that's me. Perhaps share what you think.
