Mounting switches to a wheelchair tray

I'm looking for a way to mount a switch (Big Red) to my son's wheelchair tray to stop it sliding around. Ideally in such a way that the switch can be removed and put back as necessary.
I can see various mounting solutions such as "Splatz", "Cling" and the "Universal Mounting Plate" however nowhere do the websites talk about how these solutions actually work. Does anyone have experience with these mounting solutions and can tell me how they work?
Or suggest an alternative option?
