I am 54and my son Nathan is 15. Nathan is has autism and I am a single parent/widow as my husband died in 2011 at 42 with oesophagial cancer.
Nathan has coped with this really well uoto now,but doesn't talk about it much. He still hasn't told his class friends as he doesn't talk to his class friends much. He is fine talking to adults about things though but not much..!.

Hi Cheryll. Welcome to the Scope online community. Could Nathan's teachers assist his communication with his peers? Perhaps the link attached may be some help?
