Hi, Ive been getting dla higher rate mobility for about 11 years now.I have two bad knees with tears in one that needs a new knee, and I have 5 disgs gone in neck, plus spondolitis. However I had a hysterectomy in May ,4 weeks later they found 2 tumours on my lung,70 per cent chance it was cancer, had the op to remove the tumours and top lobe of my lung, waited 3 weeks for results its not cancer thank goodness but its a rare tumour which do tend to grow back, seeing consultant in 2 weeks Ive been in hospital twice with fluid getting into the cavity where the lobe was.Horrified that the pip have awarded me lower rate mobility and care,I m out of breath, need to use a wheelchair when we go out, this means I ll loose the motorbility automatic car,Im going to be a prisoner in 9my own home.Im disgusted with them.I have underactive thyroid and hiatus hernia. Its put me in a very dark place can anone help me please.?0

Thank you,I have already told them that I intend to take it further.Im anoyed mainly that the 45 mins wasnt enough to explain all about my illness. Then they are able to judge that they know my needs when they dont.I am going to fight this every step of the way.Any recomendations gratefully received x0

One thing you could do in your mandatory reconsideration request is to point out the discrepancies between the way that the DWP's own PIP Handbook states that assessments should be carried out - and the way that your assessment actually was carried out. The link to the Handbook is:https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/519119/personal-independence-payment-handbook.pdf
And this is the link to Scope's mandatory consideration request tool:
