Pip refused

Hi,I have fascioscapularhumeraldystrophy and am claiming dla.I have recently had pip assessment and have been told that I do not qualify for pip.I have asked for my claim to be reviewed but to no avail. Do I take it to appeal. Any help gratefully received.

Appeal. You have to ask for a mandatory reconsideration first. There is advice about making appeals in the help and advice section on this website. Remember, points are awarded for how your condition affects the way you do everyday tasks not for the condition itself. Good luck.0

Thank you both. I have had the mandatory reconsideration turned down as well and told I looked healthy.I don't think dwp have enough knowledge of this illness as it's underlying and not something you can see in a person.0
