Hi @Tina44 There is lots of information on selective mutism on the NHS website, has your son seen a speech and language therapist at all?
It includes this advice -Teenagers and adults with selective mutism can find information and support at iSpeak, Finding Our Voices and the facebook group SM SpaceCafe.
The Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists and the Association of Speech and Language Therapists in Independent Practice can help you find treating professionals.Scope

Good evening @Tina44 unfortunately Selective Mutism is not an area of specialism for me and so my advice echoes that of @Sam_Scope. Very best wishes

When you say youre still waiting, have you been referred to a speech therapist? Can you go back and ask how long it will be?
