    Hi @deafblonde

Welcome to the community! Sorry to hear that you find it hard to make friends.

    Do you have any hobbies/interests?

Okay well let's start a conversation. What would you like to talk about.
Let's say it's raining outside what's the first thing you would do to occupy yourself x

Well it takes me a long time to get myself motivated and get out of bed. As to what would be the first thing to do to occupy myself really depends on how i feel in myself

Alex yes i have hobbies, but hobbies i do alone, being deaf i find it hard to communicate with other people who understand deaf people, I am not stupid, rude or ignorant i do not know any other deaf people, and i don`t sign.

That sounds tough and frustrating. I wonder if there's anything that you could do that would help you communicate with others? Perhaps use your phone to write messages or a piece of paper?

The site Meetup has come up in a few recent conversations to find local groups. You can also message people to let them know you're coming - so you could potentially mention that you find it hard to communicate and I'm sure people would then make the effort to overcome that (rather than thinking that you're being rude).

    Hi @deafblonde

How are you? I came across this great article on Disability Horizons and it sounds like someone who is in a similar situation. Thought the advice given might be relevant.
