Hi @SILKY welcome to the community, are you seeing a pain nurse/pain clinic?

Hi Silky im in a similar situation chronic pain in leg and back. Chronic RSI in both hands and more recently thought i may have fibromyalgia but the new pain doc im seeing is basically saying im feeling pain due to depression so instead of having a melt down im getting all sorts of pains.
In my area they do pain clinics which can help so ask your GP about them as you can get help from people in similar situations + specialists.
From my experience stress and depression go hand in hand so worth speaking to your GP if feeling low which is totally understandable with all that you are going through.0 -
Hello. I'm sorry you're having such a bad time at the moment. I know your question wasn't specifically about benefits, but it's always worth considering if you might be able to claim any benefits you are entitled to. Many people with similar conditions claim both Employment and Support Allowance if they are not currently able to work, and Personal Independence Payment if they are having difficulties with everyday tasks and getting around. It's possible to get both benefits if you satisfy the conditions. It may be worth having a chat with someone on the Scope helpline about these benefits - 0808 800 3333, or having a look at the benefits calculator on the Scope website to see what you may be able to claim while you are dealing with your symptoms.
Good luck,
