ESA appeal

Last August I had a review for my ESA.I have chronic lymphedema in my lower legs and cannot walk very far at all. They gave me no points at all.The day I attended my legs were badly swollen and I was wearing my Velcro wraps.I had to get a friend to take me as I was unable to drive,I was told I should apply for a national health wheelchair and get an accessible job.I am doing my utmost to stay out of a wheelchair and very much doubt I could propel myself as I broke my arm and get a lot of pain. When my legs and feet are very swollen I cannot get any shoes on am I expected to go to work with no shoes on If indeed I can drive my car to get there. Since last August I have been living on a redundancy payment from my last employer and my £57 a week PIP payment.I was supposed to sign on JSA, I couldn't face it.I am not fit to be reliable in employment.I am going to appeal before the year is up.Wish me luck! x

Hi @RedSpuggy I am sorry to hear about your struggles, there is some great information from CAB here about appealing an ESA decision.
You could also try filling in the benefits calculator here to see if you could be entitled to anything else.
Do keep chatting here, we have so many members with so much experience and so if you have any specific questions let us know and hopefully someone can help.0
