Hi
I opened my MR letter Saturday...the person who attended the appointment with me who knows me well read it and we agreed to pursue an appeal
I'm fragile and lost confidence and heart pains are worrying me on top of current health
Do SCOPE having anyone who can visit people at home?
Thank you

Hi janice_in_wonderland,
I'm sorry the MR hasn't changed the decision. But going to appeal can be well worth it. The tribunal quite often change decisions in favour of the claimant.
As far as I know Scope don't have anyone who can come to your home, but you could ring the helpline, who can signpost you to local advice agencies who might be able to do this.
It is daunting, but in practice the tribunal hearing is quite informal, and most panel members are helpful. There are a couple of resources on appealing which I would recommend:
Scope's videos here
Advice Now's factsheet which you can download here
I really hope you can find someone locally who might be able to help you further, but in the meantime you can start the process off by putting the appeal in, within a month of the MR notice. Also, if you haven't already got it, do ask for a copy of the assessor's report from your medical.
Good luck!
