Hi to all , I have been fighting with the benefits system for a long long time  ! , and at times you just think ( f..k it ) I've had enough , it just just not worth the hassle , but this is what they want , and it really gets me so angry that it's their plan. To just disable already disabled people , and those like me with mental illness , you got to a hearing and they want you to speak up clearly , and basically behave like a ( normal ) person , which is just ironic , since you have a condition that's makes you anything but ( normal )  ( sorry for the rant lol ) anyway about my case staudy or current situation , I got 11 points at my pips hearing or whatever they call that false !
7 for one side and 4 for the other , so I was 1 point short of getting an award , now thers a sunrise , ( not )

    Hi @dedus,

    Welcome to Scope's online community!

    I'm sorry to hear of the difficulties you've been having with PIP and your tribunal. We have some useful information about appealing a DWP benefits decision which may be of interest to you.

    We also have our Ask a Benefits Advisor category in our community, where @BenefitsTrainingCo is there to offer further support.

    I hope this helps. If you have any other questions, please do get in touch.

    Just wanted to say , went for my pips appeal today , got awarded enhanced rate for both , 12 and 13 points , didn't even have to go in , they said the medical evidence was enough on paper , so we'll happy :)

    Congratulations, @dedus!

    Lucky you not even having to go in! I was awarded daily living 13 points and 12 at my tribunal hearing, but they quizzed me for half an hour. Still, the main thing was they allowed my appeal.

    This was my second time at this appeal , they adjourned it 13 months ago for medical reports , but the judge this time was really mind and came into the waiting room to personally explain to me what their decision was , I couldn't believe IT , I thought at best I may get one side on the low rate , so Yeh today is a good day :) , we will just have to see how the dreaded dwp react , because they will owe me a lot of money with it being backdated for 13 months on the high rate ! Glad to hear you got your award , you must have handled the grilling well ;)

    @dedus

    DWP will just have to pay up because the tribunal have made their decision.  DWP paid  my backdated money (seven months) after three weeks.  Hope there are no delays in your case.
