I've been battling alone having got a welfare advisor to help with MR that came back without any changes so an appeal is being processed
ESA forms too which means I'm waiting for an appointment
I'm being victimised for the 3rd time so my health has really taken a knock
I invested whatever energy I have into finding a suitable new home which is finally going well as I'm going to down size to a 1 bed bungalow - no more spare room tax to worry about
however...I am struggling financially so if anyone is able to point me in the right direction to apply for help & support re moving I'd very much appreciate it as my invisible disabilities force me to be a prisoner in my own home unless those odd 'good days' give me freedom to survive better rather than exist at home alone
I am not seeking sympathy as I'm a pathetic tough nut lol
please stick to advice & guidance re how I can get help to move 100 miles away to a dream home and escape the bullies & sit in my own garden I've been dreaming about for sooooo long!
Thank you in advance

Hi @janice_in_wonderland:
Welcome back!
Your move sounds exciting!
I'm going to move this into our Housing and Independent Living Discussion Section to see if someone might have ideas on assistance with moving expenses.
It's great to see you back!0 -
Hi @janice_in_wonderland.
It's really nice to meet you I do hope that we can help you ???
Please let us know if we can help you further once you have taken the above advice from Mike.0 -
Hi @janice_in_wonderland,
If you're already claiming Housing benefit, you could try a Discretionary Housing Payment (DHP) lump sum which can help with the costs of deposits, rent in advance and removals. You need to already be claiming housing benefit to qualify but it's something to look into to help you with your move.
Your local council should have information about DHP's on their website.
Budgeting Loans can also help with removals and rent in advance but this is a loan and is repayable. You can now apply for a budgeting loan online.
It might also be worth checking to see if your council has a Local Welfare Assistance scheme and whether they can help out.
Good luck with the move and let us know how you get on.
Best wishes
