esa appeal - Should I appeal ESA or Stay on JSA?

i was thrown off esa and had to claim js , i appealed and my appeal papers have come through i am still too ill to work as my condition just worsens  will not get better but now i have appeal papers i can go back on esa till appeal hearing , does this seem a good idea (it means putting in new houseing benefit claim again ,) but saves looking for jobs i know i cant do . ....( i only claimed js allowance to make sure my rent got paid as im in private rented ,) please can anyone give me sound advice on this please , i have to go once a fortnight to sign on , and im there today ,and they will ask if i want to go on esa what do i do ??

    Have you been working through any of the disability specialists at the job centre, so they understand your situation?

    You might have a look at our Benefits Calculator to see which benefits you may be entitled to, as well as the discussion in the What Benefits Am I Entitled to section.

    I would usually advise someone in your situation to return to ESA once the appeal has been received.

    Your Housing Benefit can continue to be paid whether or not you qualify for another benefit as you will see in the guidance to Housing Benefit offices here at para W5.750. It's just that the local authority must verify that you have no other income and this can cause a delay. If you do switch back to ESA i suggest you visit your Housing Benefit office and explain the situation clearly. There may still be a period whilst your HB is suspended and i appreciate that this can cause difficulties. But if you keep everyone informed it should get sorted.
