as above well meaning friends say oh you look well .are you getting better. have a gin/tonic. it goes on no one knows how much pain I'm in at my age I shouldn't cry.

Hi @Sparkle, I also have invisible conditions and know this situation well: often these comments are made with good intentions, but they can just as easily have the opposite effect.
I'm so sorry that you're in pain, are you receiving any specialist support for this? You might also find it comforting to look through our Dealing With Chronic Pain category, to find others in similar situations. I really hope today is as comfortable for you as possible. -
hi pippa iv had spinal surgery L4 L5 fursion artritis in back shoulders hands fingers sit bone radiahtes pain all around me legs are swollen.it goes on but at the minute my dr trying out meds for me alterative to a dose he doesn't like me taking . but it helps were in that phase ill be seeing my dr soon
