Hi , I have seen around if we move property I will be forced on to Universal credit because of a change of circumstances however in some places I read if u stay in same council you won't
Has any one found the exact answer as I'm now scared to move even though my O/T thinks I would be better to move to a 2 bed property
Can someone give me advise thanks

Hi @91dan
You are probably aware that there have been recent announcements about changes to how UC is being rolled out. As a result I'm not confident answering your question without first consulting with my Benefit Specialist colleagues.
To be able to give you a useful answer it would be useful to know what area you live in now and if the planned move would be in the same area or not?
Hopefully we will be able to answer your question soon.
Best Wishes

Hi @91dan,
We've recently updated the Scope website with some new Universal Credit information. Within the content is a link to a list of all the changes in circumstances which will trigger a new claim for Universal Credit.
If you need some further specific information about your individual circumstances, please get in touch with me or @Gill_Scope at the helpline and we will be happy to talk it through with you.
Best wishes
