Knowing a pip assessor

Hi does anybody know if you know an assessor personally for any benefit can the assessment still go ahead.. I was told it cannot go ahead but I also know that a friend knew her assessor.

Although I can find nothing concrete on this, common sense should prevail. You should certainly notify the AP if this is the case as any assessment that takes place in these circumstance could be called into question at a later date by either side.
