I received my last dla payment on 22nd November due again 20th December. Had a letter from pip saying I have been awarded pip from 6th December and they will make a payment on 12th January to cover from 20th December to 12th January I would like to know if I will receive any payment from dla for period from 22nd Nov to 20th december

Dla is normally paid for four weeks following your PIP decision

    Nanny_helen1953,

Hi there - yes, as CR says, you should get DLA for four weeks after the DLA pay day which follows the PIP decision. So yes, you'll get your 20th Dec DLA payment.

When I changed from DLA to PIP I received my PIP payments in dribs and drabs for a couple of months but after that I was paid the right full amount on the right day.

It is a sad fact that they will do anything possible to take money away from those most deserving of the help and assistance required.

    Hi Nanny_helen1953,

It sounds like you need to give PIP a call and ask them to explain what is happening with your payments. The number to call has changed to a freephone number now 0800 121 4433 but expect waiting times to get through to be longer than ever now that it doesn't cost anybody.
