As @Sam_Scope said, many, many of our members have experiences similar to your own, and this means your post will be sympathetically read by a lot of people here. The powers-that-be, within the state, want you to feel like a fraud, want you to be hesitant and unsure, because that helps them with their bottom line, of scaring and worrying people out of benefit.
