I had a paint by numbers kit arrive with no paints! I have completely ignored the colours and used the canvas to paint this. It isn't quite right yet, but I think Im going to put it away for a while and try not to ruin what I have achieved.
I used other PBN pictures to work out proportions and there are lots of painted out mistakes. I just used up some leftover paints.6 -
@MarieBarl that’s looking really lovely! It’s always good to walk away and then come back with a fresh set of eyes! I do that a lot1

@Beaver79 @Pandapaws
Thank you for your kind comments. I have painted in oils before (Im not great, but oils are kind) but acrylic paint dries very fast. I found out the hard way when it dried on my brushes.
PBN is also a great way to try something different.
This time I got a bonus!2 -
That picture looks ace @MarieBarl, very well done
Heres an old project i did a few years ago, a friend had bought a predator mask from another maker, after months of delays he finally received this, to say he was disappointed is an understatement
It was poorly painted, with bristles in the paintjob and it had wonky eye placement, as well as unattached mandibles, i said i would fix it up for him, so he posted it to me
first up i had to removed the paintjob, luckily the paint peeled off in sections, took a long time but i managed to remove most of it
I then made new eye inserts and blended them into the head, then started to repaint it all with an airbrush, i took my time and tried to make it look like the film character
the finished bust
I was pleased with the finished piece, and he loved it which is good, i loved the character in the movies, hope you like him,
