    @susan48 I know when we have problems scottish water can deliver bottles, if the house has old pipes and they need redone could you maybe ask your insurance about it, also get in touch with council as there may be grants available

    Did you see the TV programme yesterday about the things we can catch from poor hygeine at places selling dispensed ice and drinks? They compared the big cinemas but made me think of others like food and drink sellers. Apparently we are buying listeria and salmonella with our dispensed drinks and ice at dangerous levels.

    Its the drinks and the cups as well. Yes i am ice obsessed.

    Boiling the water used to be a way round it.
    Don't they do something called Britta to filter water. Could be cheaper than buying bottled. 
    Some of that has been sat in the bottle for six months before we drink it.

    No potatoes were used to make vodka, not often you hear about it now though as grains are cheaper and more plentiful, I reckon something to do with potato blight made it too expensive hence why grains are used. I did an experiment years ago and made vodka, it only came out as 15% as I did not have a still but the basic principal of fermentation is the same, it was pretty rough so never made it since lol

    @Victoriad Funny enough it was because of my chemistry teacher I attempted to make vodka, she did say anyone trying this was to state for experimentation only as part of trying to understand chemistry lol
    I have been making my own wine for past 15 years, I can say I have tried a variety of ingredients to see what works and what does not. I have a list lol

    I can not drink canada dry after the old joke lol
