Advice on council housing lists?

Hello folks,wanting advice on Council housing lists.live in a private rental but have problems with bathing and mould.been on waiting list for 18 months and starting to get desperate.any one know how to actually get a flat,I am on silver so far.need to go up a rating .

Just saying hello @denafrench1981 and welcome to the community.It's a bit quiet at this time at night - very much chance that I happen to be here - but things will kick off again properly in the morning. Think it depends where in the country you are what rules you’v to follow.
In Scotland there no bidding or bands, points yes.
