    I know we cannot ask for medical advice but I’m wondering if anyone has taken temazepam for sleeping?
    Iv recently been given this, I have had insomnia since Christmas, but these tablets are giving me nightmares and still not sleeping properly. I’m not sure how long they take to work properly.

    Any help would be gratefully appreciated

    @whistles,
    i cannot use cold remedies, nasel sprays etc as too it’s dangerous with my antidepressants.
    Not suppose to eat cheese, steak , the list is endless

    so so if Iv a cold, blocked nose etc, steam with menthol Chrystal and nasel strips.

    that with my gum shield, going my teeth is not very fetching
    All you need is complete head of rollers and net headscarf........it’s the footwear I’m wondering about?

    Was that REALLY a photo of your footprints in the snow?
    Still traumatised by the size of them!  ;)

    It’s all that beige food in packets @whistles......methinks a change of diet is what the doctor should recommend.....or as we say up here

    Och well Lass that’s a bigger grip of Scotland you have under your feet there :o

    Yes it was. And perfectly sane and sensible behaviour to take off your footwear and walk about in the snow.
    I have the paperwork to prove it.  ;)

    I dont like taking medications as I feel that I am pumping my body full of chemicals and its changing me. However, it seems I cannot manage my health conditions without them. I would gladly smoke weed if it was legal here rather than take medication if it worked for me. Anyway, I havent been managing my pain so well, and went to my gp who says I have fibromyalgia. He suggested I increase my meds as they work for this condition and review it in two months. My jaw was on the floor! Increase my meds? They knock me out already! So, I am doing it as prescribed one more at bedtime for week one and so on going from 6 per day to 9 per day. Right now all I am doing is sleep on one more per day and feeling groggy. So I cant see me on three more per day. I really dont want to be less aware of my daily life.

    As for medication. Because our health will alter over time, for various reasons. It makes sense to me to look at the medications and not to just carry on taking it year in, year out.
    You can end up on medication to counteract the side effects, but worse you can end up with a MH diagnosis because of them as well!!

    As for pip,  what I can gather it ignores the side effects of your medication because its unwanted but not seen as effecting you as much as your condition would- in regards to the descriptors.
    Coming off my meds doesn't effect my claim because they dismissed the side effects to start with!

    @Victoriad

    Thanks I have stopped taking them and reverted back to the previous sleeping tablet.

    I will take the tablets back to the chemist as it’s not good to store tablets up, just being mindful of my mind set.

    i just need a proper sleep, exhausted all the time

    Low dosage was the reason among other things.
    I didn't need supervision to take.
    I had insight.

    @Victoriad,
    i was only given then last week and taken one every other night.
    I know, unfortunately, what withdrawals are like, my last CD was stopped suddenly and changed. It was not a pleasant experience.

    I will let my gp know I’m not taking the new ones on Tuesday when they are open.

    Thanks for your concern x
