Hello every body more of my plans for a herb garden.

Understand part 1 was getting started simple and easy.  Part 2 is all about what you can do with a border of a plot of garden.. Small and compact.

Understand this might be strenuous so decided to take 15 minute breaks.

Decided to remove all the herbs that have died.

Also need to weed and dig a patch.  Make sure it had enough compost to cover.  With the soil.

Needed spade and the ground not too hard.  Softened it using water can.  Dug out old plants and weeded.

Added some chips which I used for draining in the pots.  Mixed in compost with a spade.

Planted Rosemary two plants and Lavender at the back.  At a wall.  Both herbs are sheltered but have sun.  Lavender another one put in a space I had on the border.  Outside my bedroom window.

Did the same before.

Added chips and compost mix in it to the remaining soil.

In between 15 minute breaks.  Remember if doing digging and planting you are using muscles .  Never worked before or for a long time.  Soil can be heavy so careful digging.  Always use gloves and be aware.  How you can cope.  Dry ground wet it first.

Take it easy.

Watered all my work.  Lavender in the border , gave each plant a trim.  Any dead bits.  Stalks from last year.  So did that and weeded in between.

That took me with breaks around a hour.

Now that is done.

Part 3 tomorrow.  Bit more digging planting a making a trench for plants.  Got Bay plants and some Clematis.
