I have fibromyalgia, also been involved in very serious car accident last May, finally came home Dec 17. I broke both hips and knees, also fractured L1 vertebrae, just received letter from spinal specialist which said in his opinion I'll never walk again. I'm finding this very hard to take, I'm 70 I've always been pretty active working till I was 60 and then volunteering at local youth centre.

Hi @Lindsey1948
Sorry to hear this! Welcome to the community. My dad was in a specialist hospital for a spinal injury before he passed away. There was a few people who was told they would never walk again but did. Maybe ask for a second opinion and see how you feel?

Hello Lindsey (?), @Lindsey1948 and a warm welcome to the community. I am glad you have found us, but am deeply and profoundly saddened that you are suffering so much.
I'm going to tag a couple of excellent ladies in here, sure that they will be glad to introduced themselves. @Ethel and @Mandy1066 They know how overwhelming things can feel.
I'm struggling to find words that have any meaning. I can only tell you that I'm here, ready to listen, willing to do anything I can yet knowing there is probably so very little I can do.
Very warmest best wishes to you, Lindsey,
@JennysDad
