Hello I get ESA I went for an assessment and just received a letter to say I am now in the support group so my money will go up a bit. I'm also on low DLA for mobility & care. So as my illness has got worse the last year so I tell DLA and let them know I'm in support group. Will I get a higher payment from DLA as I need more help. Or will they put me on pip. Thanks

Hiya  no problem. P.I. p is separate. If you tell of any changes .you whole p.I. P claim will be reviewed. If  you get standard care you shoukd also get the disability premium on top of your esa

Yes all those over 16 years of age will and are being transferred from DLA to PIP. The biggest problem is that those claiming DLA for many years asume they will be awarded the same rate of benefits when they move over to PIP which is not the case as the criteria for getting points for each descriptor is so defined and is based on your abilities not your disability. Do a self test of the PIP descriptors to see how you would fair.
