All,

I was given lower rate daily living however i believe it should be higher, so I'm asking for an MR

Couple of Questions -

Do they stop your current payment whilst they reconsider ?

What happens after I call them to ask for an MR?

Hi @BJ2018, sorry you didn't get the decision you were looking for!

Have you used the PIP Self- Test online? This may give you an idea if you would get higher when appealing. However, this is not your guaranteed score as the assessor may put you in different categories.

Here is also some information about the MR process which you may find helpful :)

I believe you don't get paid PIP during the MR or appeal process. However, if you won the case then you would receive backdated payments, but I could be wrong!

If you need anything else then please do let me know!

Yes you will still receive the lower payment while you wait for a MR and it is the same for a appeal and if you get awarded the higher rate at the MR stage or appeal hearing it will get backdated to the start of your award
