Hi @follymew, and a warm welcome to the community!

The online benefits calculator may be a good place to start- have a look, and do come back to us with any questions.

    Hi @follymew

Whether you qualify for disability benefits will depend on how the epilepsy affects you day to day - if you have it under control you are likely to be able to claim on this basis.

There is a PIP self-test on the benefits and work website that might be helpful to give you an idea of whether you might qualify. https://www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/personal-independence-payment-pip/pip-self-test

Other benefits to consider are Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support, and possibly Working Tax Credit - if you were on ESA for a while before starting work you may qualify for a disability premium on Working Tax Credit without any Disability benefits being in payment?? Or, if you're in a Universal Credit area, then it would be that. Have a look at the benefits calculators https://www.entitledto.co.uk/

    Hope this helps.

    Kind regards,

    Mary
